"Every Child Deserves the Chance to Play Baseball" and thanks to a partnership between the City of Irving and the Irving Family YMCA we introduce Miracle League Irving to our great community. The league will provide the opportunity for all children to play baseball regardless of their ability or disability. The season will begin in Mid-October and run through December. The program is Free to all participants however we need each player to complete a registration form that you can download below and submit to the Irving Family YMCA in order for us to track and communicate with our families. Each child will receive a Jersey, a hat and a medal and trophy upon completion of the season.
All games will be played at the Cottonwood Creek Park Miracle League Field on Story Rd. between Northgate and Walnut Hill, a custom designed field with a cushioned synthetic turf to help prevent injuries. Fields will also have wheelchair accessible dugouts and a completely flat surface to eliminate any barriers wheelchair bound or visually impaired players may have.
Miracle League Buddies are paired up with a specific player for the season. Buddies will assist their player in all aspects of the game with lots of praise and encouragement. Buddies can be adults, teenagers, siblings, and even parents.
If you are willing to be a coach, team parent, or buddy; or if you have any other questions please feel free to call the Irving Family YMCA at 972-986-8898 or you can email Daniel Clemons at dclemons@dallasymca.org
